Celebrating fifty years in our art world with his paintings, stories, and illustrated children's books, Can Göknil ventures into uncharted territory in his artistic career with his book titled "Painter's Tale." Drawing upon his accumulated experiences, Göknil breaks new ground in his art life. The protagonist of his story, penned with references to the important tradition of nursery rhymes in our oral culture, embarks on an adventurous journey contemplating which profession to choose:
"If I were a fisherman, I couldn't bear to fish,
If I were a hunter, I couldn't shoot the bird,
If I were a bathhouse attendant,
What if I break the pitcher!
I wonder if I should be a painter"Thus begins a colorful journey in our art history. This journey, filled with encounters with masters of music and painting, extends from Osman Hamdi Bey to Şeker Ahmet Paşa, and from Fikret Mualla to İbrahim Çallı.
